Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vice President of Construction at Haseko North America in Irvine, CA. The role involves overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and delivery. The VP of Construction will lead a team, manage schedules, ensure quality standards, oversee financials, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Please keep in mind the following responsibilities:
- Help the acquisitions team evaluate the estimated cost of potential ground-up multi-family projects throughout the county.
- Take part in negotiating Development Management Agreements and Construction Contracts with general partners.
- Keep track of the progress of ground-up multi-family projects including scheduling, budget tracking, and contingency use.
- Thoroughly review monthly draw requests and approve or reject change orders.
- Ability to supervise a portfolio of approximately 15 projects at different stages of development and report key milestones and trends to the broader team.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in construction management and leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus
