JOB SUMMARY:

The Food Server provides prompt, courteous service to hotel patrons and ensures the guest receives everything to make their dining experience pleasurable.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Extensive knowledge of Walk-On’s menus, both food and beverage, to be able to properly serve guest through suggestions and recommendations.
- Operate POS system, ringing in the proper amount and giving the guest or server the correct change. Account for all receipts including room charges and Casino rewards program.
- Assist in training new Food Servers and new Management staff during their training period
- Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile.
- Conduct yourself in accordance with and abide by Nevada Gaming Commission Regulations, State Liquor Laws and Walk-On’s Company and Team Member Policies and Procedures.
- Take guests beverage and food orders, serve drinks, and collect payment in a positive, courteous, and efficient manner. Upsell when at all possible.
- Assist in delivering food to tables throughout the restaurant correctly.
- Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests’ needs. Provide table maintenance including but not limited to drink refills, condiments and pre-bussing and removing debris from tables.
- Clear empty plates, silverware and glasses from tables and transport to dish area.
- Prepare sections and side stations, i.e., make sure tables are cleaned and set properly, refill salt, pepper and sugar, guest checks.
- Clean and organize food line (i.e., trays, napkins, silverware, etc.).
- Keep venue and workstations clean including but not limited to the dining room floor, tables, chairs, booths, stools, and bar.
- Polish and roll silverware each shift.
- Provide “WOW” (Walk-On’s Way”) hospitality during all guest interactions.
- Completes all other duties or assignments assigned by the company, manager or supervisor.
- Be proficient at POS, Caesars Mobile Betting App, Drink and Food Menus, to explain these items to guests and to help walk them through how to use them.
- Follow local Health Department food code rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene a must.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with smiles.
- Reliable and conscientious.
- Possess a keen sense of timing and is capable of discreetly speeding up or slowing down service as necessary.
- Ability to interface effectively with customers, public and co-workers.
- Ability to tour the menu and upsell menu items/beverage
- Ability to memorize floor chart, table numbers and steps of service.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and reach continuously for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly.
- Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public.
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting a minimum of 15lbs repeatedly.
- Shifts may vary based on business needs.
- Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
- Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
