Hashicorp is evolving our approach to managing the digital workplace, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, employee experience, and delivering value through the applications we use every day. We are forming a new role to address the ongoing growth and process maturity required to help IT and HashiCorp scale as we embark on a Corporate Digital Transformation (CDT) journey. The digital workplace strategy leader is expected to influence the enterprise-wide reinvention of the workplace in such a way that employee engagement, agility, and digital dexterity increases
We are hiring a people leader to oversee the Strategy & Architecture and IT Delivery Center of Excellence, supporting our goals of enterprise delivery agility, improved end user (employee) adoption, and creating a scalable digital workplace architecture. This is a new role and team at Hashicorp reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Digital Transformation (CDT). As Director of Digital Workplace Strategy & Delivery Excellence, you'll play a critical role in shaping the organization's digital future, fostering innovation, and maintaining a relentless focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure 3rd party SaaS solutions that align with business objectives and enhance the productivity of the company's employees.
In this role, you can expect to...
Leadership: As a key member of the CDT leadership team, you'll drive strategic planning, portfolio management, and ensure the continuous learning and development of the team to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Technical Program Management Strategy: Partner with other TPM and project management teams across the Enterprise to align on strategic practices that will enable the Data & Technology (IT) teams to deliver initiatives on time and within budget, ensuring the successful deployment of these types of solutions.
Change Management Excellence: Establish organizational change management best practices that can be adopted by Data & Technology teams, including advising on resourcing and tooling, skill development, and process optimization. Integrate change management methodology into how we deliver and deploy enterprise solutions to accelerate the adoption of all tools and processes within our digital workplace.
Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success and impact of your team on the velocity and efficiency of CDT product, engineering and operations teams, regularly reviewing and optimizing solutions.
Digital Adoption (DA) and Knowledge Management (KM) Strategic Oversight: Oversee the creation of a center of excellence, ensuring the team partners with enterprise stakeholders to understand their business goals and challenges and develop comprehensive strategies and roadmaps that align with their objectives.
IT (Digital Workplace) Architecture Oversight: Oversee the team responsible for the creation of new architectural standards, business and systems documentation and holistic solution design; advocating for the implementation of this within CDT and across Data & Technology teams to shape and mature our digital workplace.
Partnership: Partner within CDT, across Data & Technology and across the business, ensuring the team is well positioned to deliver technology strategy recommendations to our stakeholders, move the needle on streamlining our tech stack and driving value from it.
Employee-Centered Design Thinking: Create a process so employees have a greater voice in technology directions and workplace interactions. Ensure that the end goal of adoption and productivity is at the center of our digital workplace strategies.

Years of IT experience as a Senior Leader in a fast-moving, agile environment in a high-growth company, ideally with several years supporting a portfolio of 3rd party SaaS platforms.
Multiple years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
Multiple years of experience managing large projects/programs in a timely, cost-effective, and solutions-oriented manner
Experience in designing strategic metrics and scorecards
Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, as well as policy development and maintenance.
Presence (gravitas), confidence and persuasive skills to develop a digital workplace program, as well as to sell and embed it in all levels of the business.
Tenacity and pragmatism in focusing the information discovery process
Excellent oral and written communication skills
You champion psychological safety, team building, alignment building, the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, and achieving goals through others not directly under the leader's supervision by working ethically and with integrity.
Knowledgeable in a variety of 3rd party digital workplace tools, including Salesforce, Workday, Netsuite, ADP, and Marketo.
An ability to handle change, ambiguity, decision-making, and deadlines in a structured fashion.
An ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, a strong sense of accountability, and a proven track record of driving results through both direct & indirect influence.
Operate with purpose, collaboration, continuous improvement, efficiency, and trust at the center of everything we do as part of CDT.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$224,400-$264,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$205,700-$242,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$187,000-$220,000 USD
