Job Responsibilities:

  • The ability to learn increasingly complex tax concepts in a lively team culture.
  • Gain the capacity to discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.
  • Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
  • Analyze and prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
  • Effectively communicate concepts to others and contribute to achieving team goals.
  • Analyze information and gain understanding in formulating and implanting effective plans for clients in complex areas.
  • Capable of mastering and assisting in completing tax returns with supervision, including closely-held Partnerships, LLCs, S and C Corps, Trusts, and High Net Worth individuals.
  • Grasp expertise in completing quarterly and annual federal and state tax projections for corporations and individuals.
  • Learn to prepare internal research memos to assist executives in decision-making on complex issues.
  • Participate in the engagement planning process by completing various assignments and giving input for internal budgeting.
  • Client interaction and discussions as required.

Qualification requirements are as follows:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
  • The candidate must have satisfied the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam and be prepared to obtain CPA certification within 18 months of starting employment.
  • Exposure to federal income taxation through education or professional experience.
  • A strong ability to learn new information and actively participate in tax solutions for our clients.

This position is full-time and the firm will accommodate a hybrid schedule although primarily in-office attendance is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
