The Chief Estimators primary responsibility is to providing oversight and leadership to Estimating Department. This position is responsible for the quality and timeliness of all estimating deliverables for assigned projects including preparing budgets and bids, compiling qualified bidder’s lists; issuing invitations to bidders; soliciting bids; preparing estimates, quantifying and pricing labor and materials; receiving bids; and reviewing bids to prepare total project costs.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Exercises direct supervision over Estimating Department.
2.Determines departmental policies and schedules.
3.Determines staff size, training, and expertise required.
4.Determines Estimating G&A budget and manages within this annual budget.
5.Responsible for all estimates generated by the department.
6.Responsible to improve and implement estimating methods and systems.
7.Markets the company’s capabilities to maintain market share in traditional construction activities and establish new market segments.
8.Establish and maintain marketing and historical bid information on the various types of construction in the various geographical locations.
9.Advises and coordinates with management to determine project bid selection.
Minimum Qualifications:
Starting Salary: $135,000.00/year
