As a Seasonal - Jr. Company Store Installer you will :

POSITION PURPOSE :

Assists with receiving, staging, installing, and trouble-shooting of office furniture or architectural interiors products on corporate and showroom installations and assure quality of product meets customer satisfaction levels.

Accountable for safety, proper product installation, and disposition procedures for member and customer safety purposes, in addition to influencing cost containment.

Utilizes various tools to complete job requirements.

Schedule : Monday - Friday 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm with the possibility of overtime

Rate : $16.50 per / hr

Duration of this seasonal position : May until August

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Stages, installs, and reconfigures furniture and architectural interior products for offices to ensure perfect execution of installation process and meet or exceed customer product and service needs.

Moves, pushes, and pulls loaded carts from warehouse to job site to ensure customer delivery and installations schedules are met.

Lifts and moves various furniture and architectural interior products at installation sites to according to plan and customer expectations.

Loads / unloads various pieces of furniture from trailers to ensure accuracy and maintain quality of customer product. Operates department cargo van and delivers product to and from job site.

Provides designers with facility measurements and checks layout drawings against architectural prints to ensure accuracy in drawings.

Responsible for personal tool kit of hand and power tools.

Assists with pre-installation inventory on job set-ups, ensuring all product and tools needed are accounted for and ready.

Installs new product lines; provides recommendations for improvements to product engineers to enhance efficiency and quality of products.

Inspects Haworth offices to assure showroom-ready conditions per standard operating procedures; performs repair and maintenance as necessary.

Loads / unload variety of furniture from trailers and installs product for corporate donation program. Frequently lifts and moves product weighing 50 to 75 pounds;

occasionally up to 150 pounds (assistance given with heavier objects)

Utilizes personal computer (PC) and keyboard / mouse while performing functions of position. Travels both overnight and internationally away from corporate offices.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Ability to read blueprints.

Ability to work in self directed-team environment that fosters problem-solving, change management, and continuous improvement.

Capable of working in fast paced, ever-changing environment with minimum supervision; ability to make sound decisions on quality problems, safety, and product set-up.

Good organizational, attention to detail and project management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communications, facilitation, problem-solving, and planning skills required.

Able and willing to stay current with product information relating to installation and product enhancements. Ability to learn on the job and improve skills quickly.

PC and keyboard / mouse skills required, including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Ability to be regularly exposed to production environment.

Ability to lift and move material and product frequently weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds; push and pull loaded furniture carts weighing between 75 and 500 pounds (assistance given with heavier objects).

Flex weekly work schedule as business demands; may work more than forty hours per week, including weekends and / or holidays.

Follow all housekeeping standards and complete daily 5S checklists / tasks.

Cross-train and perform in other job functions as requested.

Complete other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Must be 18 years of age

Work Requirements / Experience :

New members may be placed in this job and receive on the job training.

Technical Skills and Abilities :

Ability to use basic hand, air, cordless, and / or electric tools.

Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system and maintenance management system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.

g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.

Ability to or ability to learn to read and follow basic blueprints.

Good color perception.

Strong manual dexterity.

ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Large machinery and equipment used in work areas. Possibility of cuts, scrapes or bruises.

Moderate exposure to dust, noise, solvent, heat, paint, and lubricants. May also be exposed to glue, solvent, heat, paint, fiberglass, and denatured alcohol.

Constant mental and visual alertness required to avoid potential serious injury to self and others in all work groups.

Eye protection required; hearing protection may be required.

Moves and may lift materials and / or products weighing 50 to 75 pounds, occasionally more (assistance given with heavier objects).

Walks, bends, twists, turns, reaches and lifts while performing functions of position.
