Service Advisor | Description
Hayden Machinery is currently seeking a candidate to fulfill the open position as a Service
Advisor for the Mining & Energy Division.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Positively take ownership of the customer experience with Hayden Machinery
2) Assist Service Manager with work order progress from open to close, including:
a) Cost Management
b) Purchase order reconciliation
c) Ensure all parts are accurately applied to work-orders
d) Writing accurate and easy to understand work-order descriptions
e) Preparing warranty claim tickets
f) Closing work-orders in a timely manner.
3) Work closely with the Service Manager and warranty writer on outstanding claim tracking.
4) Maintaining a clean and organized work-flow, determined by the Product Support Lead.
5) Scheduling technicians and working with contractors for labor and repair services.
6) Assisting other team members to improve customer experience and machine uptime.
Qualifications:
1) 2 years minimum experience as a heavy equipment service technician, service writer, or
technical/mechanical background preferred.
2) Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to
thrive in a fast-paced environment.
3) Intermediate computer skills including, typing/data entry, Microsoft/GSuite, email/text
communication.
Physical Abilities/Requirements :
Able to work overtime, including evenings, occasional weekends and, on rare occasions,
holidays. Able to sit or stand for an extensive amount of time. Work is performed with
occasional exposure to outside elements and seasonal environmental factors. Frequent sitting,
standing, and occasional stairs occur. The majority of the time is spent sitting, walking, or
standing.
