Our Core Hardware Associates play a key role in providing legendary customer service to our neighbors. They show homeowners how to fix an electrical outlet, find the best water heater for a camp and track down the exact nuts and bolts to fix a table. Across plumbing, electrical and hardware, they help DIY and pro customers alike find solutions to all sorts of problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Every day, our Core Hardware Associates:
Ensure each customer receives outstanding, enthusiastic and exceptional customer service
Communicate clearly, politely and efficiently with customers and team members in store and on the phone
Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management
Perform light maintenance and repairs (such as lamp repair, building wheelbarrows, repairing screens in coordination with other team members)
Assist in receiving, stocking and pricing of all merchandise in assigned areas and generally throughout the store
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to share with customers
Work on continually increasing their knowledge of the products we sell and their uses
Help us keep up a clean and orderly store appearance
Never hesitate to help customers and team members in other departments and areas
Handle other duties as assigned in our ever-changing retail environment
Come to work every day with a desire to provide the best customer experience possible and learn a little along the way
Some high school or a GED is preferred.
Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, lift up to approximately 60 lbs. and climb (There's always a little bending, twisting and moving that's part of the job)
Customer service and/or hardware store experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, mornings, weekends and holidays
