Responsibilities
The Rebuyer supports the Buyer (Planning) with all essential functions pertinent to the business category. Rebuyer is responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels. Works with detailed historic reports to determine order quantities, process new purchase orders, and amend generated orders to meet goal requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels for the furniture division within merchandising.
- Strategically plan / flow purchases to stay consistent to Open To Buy (OTB), while helping to control inventory exposure.
- Support merchandising plan to increase productivity and stock to turn ratio while effectively driving sales.
- Maintain adequate inventory by working with detailed historic reports to determine order quantities.
- Responsible for managing orders to the constraints of the open to buy and fiscal budget.
- Review Orders Due/Past Due weekly; work with Vendors to ensure accurate ETA’s on all purchase orders.
- Responsible for all purchase orders placed; ensure Vendor receipt and acknowledgement.
- Advise Buyer of inventory concerns on best sellers and advertised product with adequate actionable time to resolve.
- Write purchase orders. Manage, track, and ensure timely receipts.
- Review merchandise selling weekly; place and/or adjust orders as needed.
- Review proposed replenishment needs with analyst to ensure appropriate inventory levels by sku.
- Meet with panel for monthly to strategize receipt flow.
- Maintain assortment plans, minimum quarterly analysis to discuss adds/drops and flow improvements to in-line program.
- Monitor on order, inventory levels based on sales trends and take action to amend generated orders to meet requirements.
- Assist with inventory control management activities including implementing process enhancements to streamline the replenishment function
- Responsible for all purchase orders placed; ensure Vendor receipt and acknowledgement.
- Track import container flow.
- Work with logistics to expedite shipments as necessary.
- Review receiving documents daily for overages/shortages and follow up with vendors on backorders.
- Hold vendors accountable for meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in math, analysis, spreadsheets, and business software interface.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, esp. Excel and Work are a requirement.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
- Must have excellent communications skills and follow through.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize while maintaining accuracy.
