Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst in Orlando, FL /Hybrid.
Role Description
• Experience forecasting and managing Salary & benefits of full-time employees - including budgeting, project forecasting, cost control, schedule, anticipated cost.
• Labor Management background
• Understand general ledger, journal entries etc.
• Experience with accruals, purchase orders, statement of works etc.
• Proven experience managing department financials, priorities and tasks across multiple projects and teams - while adhering to deadlines and high quality
• Accounting/finance background/degree - understand capital spend, expense, depreciation, spend/burn trends for the fiscal year
• Hybrid - Orlando, FL 4 days per week
Skills & Requirements
• 5 years of Project Controller (Financial Analyst) experience in technology managing programs and project controls (e.g.
cost, schedule, performance), financial reporting, analysis, and planning during the project lifecycle
• Advanced Excel Skills - with the ability to design complex models and reports: VLookup, Pivot Table, Modelling/Report Building, Sum IFs, IF formulas, HLookUp, Handling large data sets, etc.
• Extract and dashboard financial data to present to directors and executives.
• Portfolio Planning and demand management
• Forecast planning inputs for assigned department ranging from $100M (and/or support large-scale portfolio) and accountability for financial targets
• Partner with Finance to provide cause of change for variances, assist in monthly/quarterly close procedures, and responsible for monthly/quarterly updates
• Gather, analyze, and report on resource capacity and utilization for respective portfolios
• Lead, create, and maintain reporting solutions for department capacity planning, forecast rationalization to be integrated with reporting
• Ensure teams have the appropriate tools for planning
• Develop effective partnerships and collaborate with leads across all departments
• Mentor and guide more junior members of the portfolio planning team
• Drive solutions for process improvements, standardization, and efficiency within the organization
