Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a detail-oriented engineer with 8-13 years of experience in design and project management of municipal water and wastewater projects. The position will include leading and delivering planning and design of municipal water/wastewater facilities projects. Experience should encompass all phases of design, including conceptual/feasibility evaluations, project management, preparation of design reports, permitting, detailed design, development of construction drawings and specifications, and support of construction services.
Responsibilities to include:
- Project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, cost estimating, permitting, equipment sizing/selection, and preparation of construction documents for municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Infrastructure design.
- Field work and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel.
- Communicate clearly and concisely through technical writing.
Qualifications Required:
- 8-13 years of experience in delivering water and wastewater projects for municipal clients.
- Must hold an active Kentucky Professional Engineer license.
- B.S. degree in environmental or civil engineering.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
