Hazen and Sawyer seeks a positive, self-motivated, and creative marketing professional to join our Midwest proposal development team and work with technical staff to develop best-in-class business proposals and presentations. Our ideal candidate will have consulting industry-related experience and be a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment. They will possess outstanding written, organization, time management, and communication skills. Prefer that candidate be located in our Cincinnati office, but open to Columbus, Louisville, Lexington, Detroit, or Nashville.
Job Requirements:
- Lead the proposal development process including developing messaging, storyboarding, production scheduling, writing and editing, and integration of graphics with messaging and technical content into winning proposals and interview presentations.
- Lead or participate in strategy meetings, assign action items, monitor the completion of tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage competing priorities and advance multiple pursuits in different stages of development, concurrently.
- Ensure all materials comply with corporate branding guidelines.
- Continuously improve the quality of deliverables to keep up with marketing industry trends.
- Collaborate with pursuit team members, consisting of engineers, graphics designers, and other proposal development staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in marketing/communications, advertising, journalism, or closely associated field, from an accredited college or university.
- Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign). Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in leading the effort to develop winning proposals of various complexity.
- Demonstrable writing, grammar, and editing/proofreading organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and develop an understanding of Planning, Engineering, and Construction consulting. Prior experience in the A/E/C industry preferred but not necessary.
- Experience overseeing the production of complex materials in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects; meeting deadlines and working well under pressure.
Salary : $46,200 - $58,600
