Speech-Language Pathologist
Full-time (36-40 hours/week), weekday shifts.
The speech-language pathologist works to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, augmentative alternative communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Provides services for inpatients and outpatients, including evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care. Responsible for following current policies and procedures in the Rehabilitation department. Complies with patient billing and insurance policies. Completes initial evaluations and progress notes in a timely manner. Assists and communicates with department manager, providers, and multidisciplinary staff. Functions as a patient advocate, particularly in dealing with other health care providers, and physicians. Works cooperatively with all staff including providers, nursing staff, social worker, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare staff. Provides patient care and communication with other departments within the organization.
