What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paymaster position at Hazlet Township Public Schools?
The district paymaster is responsible for the preparation, processing and monitoring of district payroll; processing applications, forms and payroll deduction remittances for the Division of Pension; preparing and maintaining quarterly and annual pension and tax reports; prepares W-2 forms; and processes unemployment claims.
Qualifications:
· Experience in payroll, tax and NJ State pension-reporting programs preferred.
· Experience in school payroll preparation desirable.
· Possess demonstrated knowledge and skill in business computer operations, experience with SYSTEMS 3000 desirable.
· Possess superior writing and organizational skills as well as ability to multi-task, complete tasks error free, meet deadlines, and be attentive to detail.
· Possess ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, administrators, vendors, government agencies and school office personnel concerning payroll information.
· Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
