Foreman_Special Projects

SUMMARY:  This position leads and coordinates the installation of equipment and accessories in new and existing commercial applications. Ensures work is completed according to company guidelines, contract specifications, and established safety guidelines. Works with the General Contractor and/or owner coordinating work in order to meet deadlines.

• Layout and installation of commercial plumbing and HVAC equipment
• Blueprint reading and interpretation to include takeoff, ordering, and scheduling of materials
• Provide labor and material estimates related to work on assigned projects in order to report back to the Project Manager.  Coordinate inspections for contractor performed work in new construction projects.
• Coordinate meetings and documentation related to inspectors, general contractors, and owner/architects
• Perform appropriate communication with co-workers related to work being performed and including customer interactions
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: 

• Significant experience in the trades
• Highschool diploma or GED
• Must be skilled in problem solving as well as installation & retrofits with many types of equipment and systems
• Ability to perform math computations needed in the trade
• Personal computer, tablet and smart phone skills
• Ability to read blueprints and understand cut sheets
• Criminal background check required for hire
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
• English language skill
• Must provide all own hand tools – knowledge of trade related tools needed
