Summary:
The role of account executive involves developing new clients and solidifying relationships with existing clients by identifying new opportunities. The executive takes part in all activities and efforts to expand sales and new business, pitches new and existing products, handles objections and closes deals with new and existing accounts. This position has a focus on new customers and new healthcare related projects.
The role of account manager is responsible for managing all account and project activity within assigned accounts and is the clients’ key contact for all day-to-day business. This position has a focus on GSA and the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and requires some travel to Eastern Idaho.
Essential Responsibilites and Duties:
Responsible for closing new business which involves identifying problems and presenting solutions, pitching products, and ultimately getting a signed proposal.
Presenting on a regular basis HB Sprague’s products to potential clients.
Having a deep understanding of all MillerKnoll and HB Build products we are selling to effectively communicate the value proposition.
Responsible for building initial relationships with potential clients, establishing trust and building rapport with new and existing customers.
Work closely with Account Managers and existing customers to ensure consistency in communication for an overall good experience for the customer.
Market and promote all HB Sprague products and services.
Drive sales and profitalbility by leading the development of creative and innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Become a resource for customers and industry professionals acting as a strategic partner by bridging the gap and educating them about the solutions HB Workplaces: Sprague Studios offers.
Gain expert-level product knowledge, and leverage product knowledge to create unique and compelling experiences for contractors, industry professionals and customers, from initial education through final walkthrough.
Work with product representatives to schedule meetings and presentations with industry professionals and customers.
Initiate the sales activity, have the ability to listen to clients needs, find solutions, present in a thoughtful and impactful manner that encourages trust and communication.
Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly goals by maintaining a high level of activity.
Respond quickly and professionally to client’s needs.
Initiate and maintain an Account Profile for all key accounts (TDF/SalesForce)
Coordinate Resources (Design and PM) to maintain and enhance our position.
Coordinate and Develop a yearly business plan based on anticipated business for all accounts.
On a weekly basis, meet with Sales Team to review all accounts.
Submit, monthly, 90-day forecasts and opportunities. (Entered into forecasting spreadsheet prior to weekly meeting)
Recommend short-term and long-term strategies for business expansion through goals and enhanced marketing techniques.
Maintain a professional appearance and profile with customers, prospects, and fellow employees.
Attend all Sales Team meetings.
Participate in all relevant training opportunities.
Maintain project margins of at least .22
Approval required for all margins less than .20
Desired Skills & Experience:
4-year degree, concentration in business, marketing, sales or design preferred.
2-5 years sales and/or account management experience – furniture industry experience extreamely helpful.
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity and sound judgment in conducting business transactions and providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Strong written and verball communication with customer-service skills.
Writing skills must be sufficient to compose and edit a variety of documents using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite with ability to learn and use new computer programs/applications as necessary.
Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work accurately to meet deadlines by adapting to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities in a flexible way by working from your own initiative and/or following direction, policies, and procedures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finish.
Ability to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawings.
