Job Summary
The Service Engineer provides overall supervision of the Quality Control Inspection Process, with a goal to achieve the highest level of quality on equipment that is shipped to the dealer locations. The Service Engineer should hold the QCI team to the highest standards of delivered quality and attention to detail, while maintaining a fast turnaround for equipment to be shipped to dealers. This position will involve varied mechanical tasks and some general labor tasks while primarily working in a warehouse environment.
General Accountabilities

The Service Engineer should hold the QCI team to the highest standards of delivered quality and attention to detail, while maintaining a fast turnaround for equipment to be shipped to dealers. This position will involve varied mechanical tasks and some general labor tasks while primarily working in a warehouse environment.
General Accountabilities
- Primary duties to include, but not limited to, basic maintenance, pre-delivery inspections (QCI's), assembly, and light repairs on material handling equipment. LP, Gas, Diesel and Electrical systems
- leads, monitors, and supervises technicians to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the company
- Inspects newly received equipment to determine any maintenance, repair, or other corrective actions necessary and completes those actions accordingly.
- Completes a final inspection of all outgoing equipment to verify everything is in good order according to company standards and completes any necessary final repairs or adjustments accordingly.
- Works closely with the Service team to identify quality issues or trends that require feedback to the factory
- Keeps logs, records, and creates reports pertaining to inspection results and repairs/maintenance performed.
- Assists in shipping and receiving of equipment and parts as needed.
- Assists in stocking, inventorying, order pulling, and other general organizational warehouse duties as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Associate Degree or certificate in Automotive Technology, preferred
- Experience working on LP, Gas, Diesel and Electrical systems on mobile industrial equipment, preferably forklifts
- Manufacturing, automotive, military or recent trade school graduates with applied skills
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of forklifts including testing, diagnosis, hydraulic, brakes, testing and repair of electronic systems and modules.
- Battery operated equipment repair knowledge preferred.
- Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
- Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs and meet all physical abilities to carry out the required work

- 3-5 years of technical work experience in the forklift industry
- Good verbal and written communication skills
