Job Summary and Qualifications
The Anesthesia technician under the direction of Perioperative Nursing Manager/Supervisor/Director is responsible for assisting the perioperative department, specifically the anesthesia providers, with technical procedures and care of all surgical patients safely and effectively. The quality of care and service given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the department of nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice directed by the Registered Nurse in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community. Additional responsibilities may include the care and sticking of anesthesia supplies and assisting the surgical staff with patient positioning and preparations.
Qualifications - External
REQUIRED:
High School/GED
BLS
Less than 1 year of nursing assistant experience
PREFERRED:
2 year Associate Degree or Graduate Anesthesia Technician Program
1 - 3 Years of nursing assistant experience
SKILLS:
Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, Customer relations, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Read/Comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, Computer/Laptop, Clerical.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
