Job Summary and Qualifications
As the AVP ILOB Compensation Operations. you will manage key stakeholder relationships, compensation strategy, communication and activities for the Integrated Lines of Business and ensures integration of compensation services with Hospital and other HCA entities where pay markets and talent is shared. You will participate in the development of compensation programs and policies, compensation strategies, and incentive plans, and market data insights by providing insights shared by the business. Additionally, you will act as a trusted advisor for key ILOB leadership and provides thought leadership, strategic direction, consultation, and communication/delivery on compensation programs related to service lines’ compensation issues and challenges. You will be responsible for the operational development and proposal of relevant service lines compensation levels and structures; and providing proactive thought leadership and strategic oversight as it relates to policy and incentive plan harmonization, process optimization through technology and job architecture. You will have regular and direct interaction with senior executives.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Acts as a trusted advisor and thought leader in both operational and strategic development of market & data driven business cases, reporting and analytics that support the service line compensation and reward strategies.
- Lead and participate in the development and assimilation of best practice program and policy designs while maintaining an Enterprise mindset.
- Lead the design, development, harmonization, automation and execution of service line incentive plans that are in alignment with Enterprise short term incentive program guiding principles
- Maintain awareness of the latest trends, market practice, accounting, regulations and competitive intelligence regarding service line and hospital compensation.
- Manage key initiatives including the implementation of enterprise standards and LOB-specific strategies.
- Conduct detailed analyses of current and potential service line compensation programs and prepare summaries of financial and design implications.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders (HRG, Payroll, Tax, Legal, ITG, Accounting, etc.) as it relates to execution of executive and corporate compensation services.
- Provide direct, well researched service and advice to Group-level leadership in a timely manner.
- Lead and develop a talented and experienced team of compensation leaders, consultants and subject matter experts.
Job Requirements include the following:
- Bachelors Degree is required
- Masters Degree is preferred
- 10 years of experience in Compensation or related field with 3 years of people management is required
- 10 years of experience in management, healthcare industry and compensation administration with a deep background in executive compensation at large prominent U.S. public companies with general working knowledge in finance, accounting, and benefits is preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business is preferred
- Proactive, strategic thinker with strong operational background and experience, supported by strong analytical and portfolio and project management skills is preferred
- CCP, PHR, SPHR is preferred
