Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Certified Central Sterile Technician will work under the supervision of the surgical services leadership team to assist in proper care, handling, assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments.

• You will be responsible for receiving, cleaning, processing, assembly and distribution of medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments.
• You will be responsible for acquiring, distributing and charging for all disposable supplies and patient rental equipment.
• You will prepare, assemble and package all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments including the restocking of code carts and isolation carts using the exchange cart system.
• You will sterilize all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintains and operates Central Sterile equipment.
• You will be responsible for handling, transporting and storing sterile equipment, instruments and supplies, and pulling supplies and instruments for surgical cases using the case cart system.
• You will help direct the work flow in Central Sterile Supply, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician
• Previous relevant experience
