Job Summary and Qualifications

The IR Technologist assumes responsibility for assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures on patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric. They adhere to policy and procedures in the assessment, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the diagnostic services provided. 

• Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. 
• Provides assistance to the Radiologist during all Special Procedures. 
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. 
• Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. 
• Provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
• Demonstrates documented competence specific to Special Procedures a minimum of two years as a radiographer.
