Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
Our Surgical Service and Central Sterile teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity. We are seeking a Manager for Central Sterile Processing. As our Manager of Sterile Processing, you will supervise decontamination and sterilization procedures and assist in keeping the department running smoothly.
What you will do in this role:
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities involved in the acquisition, decontamination, storage, assembly, cleaning and sterilization of medical, surgical and related supplies, materials and equipment utilized in the care and treatment of patients and the operation of Hospital Sterile Processing Department
- Assess the instrument and equipment needs for the surgical services ensuring availability and delivery to the operating rooms
- Possess appropriate knowledge, education, and technical skills necessary to maintain standards for delivery of quality patient care
- Receive and process instruments, equipment and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
- Will be responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance standards for department
What qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Sterile Processing Distribution preferred
- 2-3 years of experience as Sterile Processing Supervisor preferred
- Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Tech (CSPT), or Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
