Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Neonatal Services has full authority and responsibility for the administration and supervision of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of St. David’s Hospital. 

You will plan the structure and activities of neonatal services in a manner, which facilitates quality patient care in the most cost-effective manner. 

You will provide and maintain fiscal control of materials, supplies and equipment. 

You will provide competent nursing staff and supportive services who are adequately prepared to achieve quality patient care objectives. 

You will maintain communication with persons or organizations internally and externally as necessary to promote department and hospital interest and remain current in his/her field of work. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Masters Degree
• 2 years of clinical experience in neonatal with demonstrated management progression; at least 6 months of charge/supervisor experience
