The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patients progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. What you will do in this role:
- You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
- You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
- You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
- You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
- You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- American Speech & Hearing Association
- Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be eligible for clinical fellowship.
- One year of work experience or clinical internship is required.
- Prior one year of hospital/health care related experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills in word processing, internet.
