Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
• Provide direct supervision of PBX Operators in day-to-day activities.
• Develop work schedules and ensure coverage.
• Coordinate after hours call with staff and various departments.
• Monitor, log and investigate system complains from all sources and report complaints to leadership as appropriate.
• Participate in the interview process for the department vacancies.
• Assist with conducting performance reviews for PBX Operators.
• Maintain policy and procedures for PBX Operators.
• Maintain supplies for the area.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the switchboard. Answer all phone calls routed to operator by system or direct dialed.
• Query callers regarding call objectives and routes calls to the correct extension.
• Interact professionally with all callers to promote a positive image of the facility.
• Maintain a steady flow for incoming calls using hold and other system features.
• Keep a log of all call-ins and special request during a shift for daily review.
• Ensure all postal requirements are met and mail is processed efficiently.
What qualifications you will need:
High School Diploma or GED Required
3 Years of PBX experience required
1-3 Years of Supervisory experience preferred
