Job Summary and Qualifications: Unit Secretary Full-Time 8a-8p

As the Unit Secretary in the ICU, you will provide clerical support and indirect patient care on the unit. Our team is like a family, we work hard to support the patients in our community and each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

· You will prepare medical records for new patients and those being discharged.

· You will transport patients for exams and treatments.

· You will transcribe physician’s orders as needed.

· You will keep the waiting room organized and neat and attend to any visitors.

· You will order and maintain supplies, equipment and hospital services as needed.

· You will perform patient call backs and keep a log of findings, collecting data for quality registries, answer incoming phone calls, contact or page physicians and staff as needed, plus other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

· Medical terminology.

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (available after hire).

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
