Assists the Executive Officer in daily operations. Manages office to ensure the business of administration is conducted in a professional, timely, efficient and productive manner. Provides supervision as may be necessary to those individuals assigned to administration. Acts as liaison to medical staff and provide services as may be appropriate to the physicians. Leads and coaches the development and growth of a safety culture in the department. Essentials Duties/Function: Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, data base programs), keyboard/typewriter skills. Advance knowledge of office equipment: fax, copier, transcription equipment, 10 key adding/calculator. Ability to work as a leader and member of the team Ability to prioritize and manage several issues concurrently, time management skills with independent work habits Proficiency in English, proper telephone etiquette and good writing skills System/Process Analysis/Thinking Serve as a liaison to medical staff, outside vendors and hospital directors Maintain the hospital's administrative policies and procedures Maintain the hospital's Texas license and Accreditation files Required Minimum Education: Prefer 2-year college with business courses5 years experience Required Years of Experience Skills and Knowledge: Independent work habits, self-reliance, self-directing.Organizational awareness (corporate structure).System/Process Analysis/Thinking.Time management skills, File management; Good writing skills: grammar, business writing, composition.Computer skills (WordPerfect or Microsoft Word).Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills.Advance knowledge of office equipment: fax, copier, transcription equipment, 10-key adding/calculator.
