Work Schedule: Days and Rotating Weekends
Location: Medical City Heart & Spine
Medical City Dallas will open Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital this fall as destination hospitals for highly specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The new facility is conveniently located near Medical City Dallas across Hwy. 75 and Forest Lane. Medical City Heart Hospital will have 63 private patient rooms and provide a wide array of cardiac services including complex vascular and heart surgery, advanced heart failure treatment, minimally invasive vascular surgery and other specialized heart care. The facility will also have the only dedicated cardiac emergency room in Dallas. The 24-bed Medical City Spine Hospital will provide comprehensive and coordinated spine care for common spine disorders and rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities including adult and pediatric scoliosis, spondylolistheses, complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options among others.

Adult ECLS Specialist Job Summary:
- Provide ECLS care to patients within scope of Nurse Practice Act & NBRC (Respiratory Therapist).
- Works under the direction of the ECMO Medical Director, Manager of adult perfusion and Collaborates with CVICU Nurse Manager and Respiratory Manager for the educational needs of the staff in caring for ECMO patients.
- Help coordinate and participate in activities of the ECMO team required for quality patient care.
- Participates in education to various groups regarding services rendered and care for patients requiring ECMO within the CVICU and throughout the organization.
Adult ECLS Job Requirements:
- If RN hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and that is pursuing or has completed an approved ECLS training program
- PRN Certified Clinical Perfusionist must have 3 years of perfusion experience
