Job Summary and Qualifications

This position will serve on the Purchased Services sourcing team as a subject matter expert in the area of environmental services contracting and as a contract negotiator for such healthcare services categories as Laundry & Linen, EVS Textile Rentals, Waste Management, etc.

This position will support the Contract Director and lead the Contract Analyst, assist with the developing contracting strategy, and execute initiatives for national GPO contracts and member agreements.

What you will do in this role :

• The Manager is responsible for delivering successfully negotiated contracts to HealthTrust members. Success will be defined as the timely meeting of all material project deliverables captured in the executed contract to include projected savings.
• Provide project oversight with contract analysts supporting all team projects.
• Manage assigned contracting projects, including the completion and timely execution of contracted services to members that deliver high quality services and cost savings.
• Understand various service industries from which healthcare providers purchase.
• Research and analyze suppliers to be included in Request for Information / Proposals (RFI / RFPs).
• Prepare and distribute (RFI / RFPs).
• Evaluate proposals, oversee development of financial analyses and present contract recommendations for members.
• Craft contract language working with Corporate Legal.
• Negotiate and prepare for execution facility / IDN contracts on behalf of members.
• Collaborate with members to ensure successful initiative implementation and conversion for the engagement term.
• Help identify new Purchased Services contract opportunities.
• Working closely with Purchased Service Contracting Director, manage all reporting, analytics, KPIs, and all other processes involved with each assigned service initiative.
• Validate accuracy of all assessments, initiative scorecards, reports, data, and contract recommendations prior to member presentation.
• Provide weekly project updates to Director and AVP.
• Attend off-site meetings as required.
• Train staff in all new policies, processes, etc. as required.
• Coach, lead, and advise for the success of the Contract Analysts.

What qualifications you will need :

• College Graduate - Bachelor Degree, required
• 5 - 7 years healthcare contracting experience is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), required
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, required
• Excellent presentation skills, required
