Performs duties directly involved in a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates the ultrasound equipment and sends images to PACS. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Uses sterile technique when necessary and assists the radiologist in all invasive procedures.May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department.

Education:
Vocational or 2 year Associates Degree required. 4 years Bachelor Degree preferred.
License/Certification:
BLS
Registered Vascular Specialist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or RVT - Registered Vascular Tech (within 12 months of hire/transfer).
Experience:
Less than 1 year of imaging experience required. 1 - 3 years of imaging experience preferred.
