Job Summary:
St. David’s North Austin Medical Center would like to recruit an experienced kidney transplant surgeon to lead our program in Austin, TX.The kidney transplant program at Saint David’s North Austin Medical Center was founded in 1996. The program is currently a partner level program in the National Kidney Registry and has performed >50% of its transplants with live donors over the last two years. There is an opportunity to establish a pancreas program in the near future.
Qualified Candidates:
- Completed an ASTS certified abdominal transplant surgery fellowship
- Laparoscopic or robotic nephrectomy experience required
- 100 – 150 kidney transplants potential per year
- Solo transplant surgeon program at present with ability to add a second surgeon as needed and time off covered by affiliated HCA transplant surgeons
- Prefer 5 years’ experience in abdominal transplant surgery
- Pancreas transplant experience preferred, but not required
- Licensed in the state of Texas or ability to obtain
- No ER call
