The Material Handler is directly responsible for materials reception, management, preparation, staging, and reporting for the production work cells.
Main Role Posting Content:
The Material Handler is responsible for driving inventory management systems, materials reception & preparation, operational equipment maintenance, and consumables oversight
The position focuses on maximizing value for operations production flow through inventory and material management.
Pay & Benefits:
High Country Industrial Corp is offering a starting competitive hourly wage of $22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Materials Preparation
- Accountable to review production schedule one week/day ahead and plan inventory reception, stocking, counts, and reporting to ensure production staff do not stock out of materials.
Material Handling/Work Cell Stocking
- Accountable to review work orders daily and pre kit materials for work cell delivery direct to workstation prior to the fabrication need.
Inventory Kanban System
- Accountable to review, stock, and replenish all small parts/consumables using inventory Kanban system.
Equipment & Material Maintenance/Organization
- Accountable to maintain production equipment to internal/ISO standards and improve material organization using applicable Lean methodologies
Collaboration
- Accountable to collaborate and partner with all production staff members
Continuous Improvement
- Accountable to drive continuous improvement efforts regarding workflow and work cell organization.

Previous Experiences/Background:
This job is considered medium to heavy work in nature with occasional heavy tasks. Maximum lifting of up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting of weights up to 50 pounds. Typically standing and walking for 6 hours out of an 8-hour day. The frequency of the tasks depends on the type of shift, weather conditions and changes to the indoor environment (which cannot always be predicted or controlled).
Must Have’s (2 or More):
- 2 years shipping/receiving & stocking experience in a production setting
- Current licensure for Fork and Scissor lift
- Equipment maintenance knowledge
- Track record of supplying and/or creating reports for materials
- Direct production experience with role function examples
- Lean practice or exposure of concepts
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience using material and counts entry operating systems
- Exposure in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and word
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
