THIS POSITION IS FOR THE TALLAHASSEE, FL AREA
SUMMARY :
This position is primarily responsible for maintenance, operations and repairs for the hotel
and property, and doing so in a manner that represents the HDG Hotels vision, mission,
and core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The essential duties and responsibilities of an area maintenance supervisor include, but
are not limited to :
Planning and executing overall and preventative maintenance for the hotel and
property according to the budget and time allotted.
Assisting in the repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment (e.g.,
mechanical / electrical equipment, pumps, motors, etc.)
Maintaining physical operations such as : refrigeration, heating, ventilation and
air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing,
carpentry, water treatment, laundry equipment, electric systems, etc.
Interacting positively and timely with all HDG partners such as : team members,
leadership, vendors, owners, etc.
Developing and coordinating renovation, construction, and other maintenance
projects and the communication to all parties associated with such project.
- Purchasing and ordering supplies and equipment as appropriate.
- Ensuring all safety and emergency inspections comply with mandated standards
e.g., OHSA, ADA, etc) and team members are trained accordingly on related
guidelines and procedures.
Supervising and assisting team members, including, but not limited to
maintenance team members.
- Abiding to city and state building codes.
- Developing, implementing, managing and monitoring the budget.
- Preparing reports as required.
- Assisting with the hiring, training, developing, recognizing and coaching of team
members working in a maintenance role.
Assigning duties and monitoring the work for quality, safety and procedural
standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Indirectly support and lead team members within hotel maintenance
department(s).
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months
