Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE The Measure Technician works independently in a field role in support of Home Depot Measurement Services. The Technician's role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds the Company standards of excellence. The position is directly responsible for creating, maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers on a daily basis. The job consist of capturing on-site, in home measurements as well as light inspection and documentation of existing conditions. The position is self directed, and directly responsible for providing positive customer experiences and accurate measurements. The main task include utilizing a drawing program efficiently, and transmitting the drawings digitally for processing at the HDMS Service Center.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 90% Providing customer service by assessing customer needs, communicating with customers and conducting in home flooring measures. 10% Review and edit of drawings in the computer tablet.
NATURE AND SCOPE- Position Reports to: Local Field Manager. Number of Direct Reports: 0. Environmental Job Requirements: Majority of work located in a comfortable, climate controlled indoor area. Driving (seated) part of day driving from job site to job site in the tri-state area. Involves standing and walking while at the job site. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion, including, but not limited to lifting, bending, squatting, and kneeling within customers’ homes. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Age: 18 Must pass drug and background tests. Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Physical Job Requirements: Most of the time is spent standing in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous customer service is a plus. Direct work or knowledge of building trades or flooring is helpful, but many jobs can also be relevant for the skills needed to succeed in this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES * Skilled at consistently providing outstanding customer service, following through on responsibilities to customers and recovering from any errors made. * Demonstrated ability to complete projects and assignments accurately, catching errors before completion, despite a large workload, competing demands and a fast paced environment. * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers. * Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time. * Associates must have strong computer skills, and understanding for CAD like applications.

All technicians are required to where mask at this time, social distance and screen daily with self completed health checkup. Gloves are optional, use hand sanitizer frequently if not gloved up. Shoe covers are always required.
