Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Roadway Intern, we'll count on you to:
- Gain real-world experience by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations
- Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist the team with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
- Participate with local colleagues in community service events and activities
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program or closely related field through the summer of 2024
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter with excellent writing, comprehension, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
- Preference given to local candidates
