Job Summary:
HDR is seeking a full-time, entry/mid-level zero emissions mobility (ZEM) planner to directly support light/medium/heavy duty ZEM planning projects. HDR manages battery electric and fuel cell vehicle projects at all stages of the program life cycle including planning, design, vehicle/charger specifications, procurement strategies, construction oversite, implementation, and project performance. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, innovating to overcome challenges, suggest better approaches, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Prior experience with zero-emission vehicles is not needed, but attention to detail, strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously are key. Some travel will be required.

Position Responsibilities:
Support project managers as part of a team
- Support multiple projects, including developing meeting minutes, tracking action items and project tasks, managing schedules and budgets, and developing progress reports
- Assist in analysis tasks, including vehicle modeling, energy modeling, budget forecasts and performance monitoring
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Develop and maintain working relationships with remote clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Quickly learn zero-emission vehicle technologies and their applications
- Write technical reports and proposals
- Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or related degree required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with Adobe suite preferred
- Demonstrated history of collaboration and teamwork
- Very strong writing and communications skills (technical writing, proficiency in English)
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualification
- Master's degree preferred
- Previous planning experience
