SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates daily activities of the warehouse. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse supervisors assisting with shipping, receiving, and order picking/packing process. Responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling, receiving, processing, equipment maintenance and loss prevention. The Warehouse Floor Manager is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the warehouse wisely in order to achieve maximum results.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Oversees compliance with key accounts order management and shipping guidelines, i.e., routing instructions and shipping schedules. Communicates key account requirements to warehouse staff in pick/pack and shipping departments.

2. Oversees incoming inventory and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system – RF experience and SAP experience required.

3. Handles the physical movement of inventory from overstock to bin locations and pick locations in warehouse; this is coordinated through our Logistics team and Inventory Manager.

4. Review with warehouse supervisors daily work assignments to meet the picking, packing, and shipping requirements for each day.

5. Help solve problems that affect the service and productivity of the warehouse.

6. Promote and maintain safe and secure working environment by training staff on housekeeping procedures, safety and loss prevention procedures; ensuring safety and loss prevention policies and procedures are being carried out; work with Supervisors to take action or make changes relating to pick/pack and/or shipping operations.

7. Evaluate temporary help to meet the demands of the warehouse.

8. Oversees our warehouse equipment maintenance. Monitor’s the material handling equipment for defects/safety issues and ensures our vendor performs necessary repairs.

9. Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified applicants to meet the needs of the department. Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately. Promote a team environment among employees and resolves day to day warehouse issues.

10. Ensure inventory on cardboard boxes and shipping supplies is maintained to par levels.

11. Forklift experience preferred but not required.

12. Completes yearly evaluations of employees and provide corrective action when necessary.

13. Handles other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the supervision of warehouse supervisors and employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma; 7-10 years experience in a warehouse environment; previous supervisory experience required. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Should exhibit strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in a supervisory capacity. Results oriented; willingness to follow-through; make informed decisions and complete tasks.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Demonstrated use of advanced personal computer skills including email, Microsoft word, and Excel. Experience with SAP, XPS, and RF scanning equipment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Fine Manipulation., Nimble use of fingers, and average or better hearing

Vision: Above Average, Color perception, and depth perception

ENVIROMENTAL EXPOSURES:

Indoor Outdoor Noise ³ 85 dBA

Extreme Heat, Cold, and Humidity; Work in high places

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Tow motor operator

Confined space entries, Emergency response team member

Other: Pallet Jack, Hand cart, dollies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
