What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Interviewer position at Headway Workforce Solutions?
Job Description
Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Field Interviewers on behalf of our client in the Milwaukee WI area. As a Field Interviewer, you will conduct interviews supporting the MIDUS Study.
About the MIDUS Study
The first national survey of Midlife Development in the U.S. (MIDUS) was conducted in 1995/96 by the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Successful Midlife Development. The study was conceived by a multidisciplinary team of scholars from fields of psychology, sociology, epidemiology, demography, anthropology, medicine, and health care policy. Their collective aim was to investigate the role of behavioral, psychological, and social factors in accounting for age-related variations in health and well-being in a national sample of Americans.

This wave of interviews follows up with respondents who were interviewed in 2012. The interviews will be in person in respondents’ homes in Milwaukee. The respondents are an oversample of African Americans and the interview is 2.5 hours long. Respondents will receive $75 after the in-person interview, and will receive a total of $180 for their efforts if they complete all stages of the study.
The interview includes waist and hip measurements, so interviewers must be comfortable administering these anthropometric measures. Some of the questions may be considered to be of a sensitive nature, so interviewers must be comfortable asking questions of that type. For the most sensitive questions, the interviewer will be instructed to turn over the laptop to the respondent, with headphones, so that portion of the questionnaire can be self-administered by the respondent.
