Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. Your role will involve a combination of administrative tasks and clinical duties, making you an integral part of our medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient information, test results, and treatment plans
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling phone calls
- Educate patients on medication instructions, diet plans, and other healthcare-related topics
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and geriatrics
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks and electronic health record systems
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to maintain efficient workflow
- Compassion and empathy towards patients
