HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) seeks a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner, NP to join a well-established practice in Chesapeake, VA. With over 21 years of service to the community, this practice offers the opportunity to care for a loyal patient base of 3,400-4,000 adults. You will be supported by an experienced clinical team and professional front office staff, ensuring a smooth transition and a collaborative work environment.
- Nurse Practitioners conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, sick visits, and telemedicine.
- Nurse Practitioners diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions independently.
- Nurse Practitioners prescribe medications (DEA license required for scheduled medications).
- Nurse Practitioners manage an average of 20 patients per day.
- Nurse Practitioners collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
- Nurse Practitioners participate in team meetings and case discussions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Nurse Practitioners maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records/electronic medical records system (EHR/EMR)
- Nurse Practitioners ensure compliance with all regulatory and practice standards in documentation and patient care.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in Internal medicine, Family medicine, or Primary Care medicine.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
