Minimum Salary Range Job Summary This Position Is Responsible For Providing Support To The Provider Recruitment And Contracting Process To Ensure Strategic Coverage Of Providers For Assigned Territory. Specific Responsibilities Include Small To Mid-Size Contract Negotiations For Small Hospitals, Physicians And Physician Groups And Developing And Maintaining Relationships With Providers. This Role Will Also Provide Support For Complex Hospital And Physician Contracting Activities. Ability And Willingness To Travel Within Assigned Territory, Including Overnight Stays. Responsibilities *Develop contracts. Ensure appropriate contracts are executed and in place for respective providers. Handle small to mid-size provider groups and facilities. *Analyze financial reports to determine financial impact of negotiations. *Work with internal departments to ensure appropriate implementation of executed agreements. *Provide support for complex hospital and physician contracting activities Establish and maintain contractual relationships within assigned territory for physicians, physician groups and facilities. *Recruit and enroll professional providers and facilities within assigned areas of responsibility. Ensure appropriate coverage for territory. *Ensure appropriate provider services including working across departments to resolve issues. Ensure assigned providers are informed when changes occur in policies and procedures and provide appropriate education/in-service. Coordinate orientation, training and continuing policy education to provider office staff, billing staff and referral/precertification areas. *Respond to provider inquiries in an effective and timely manner and coordinate claims resolution to payment problems. Must work closely with Health Care Finance, Full Service Units, Utilization Management, Medical, Delegation Oversight (practitioners only), Core Credentialing, Provider Automation and other divisions within the company. *Establish and maintain relationships with assigned providers through personal visits, correspondence and telephone calls. *Ensure all expenditures comply with corporate and divisional expense guidelines Required Job Qualifications: *Bachelor Degree and at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts OR 5 years managed care operations experience handling independent work with at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts. *Meet deadlines and work well under pressure. *Verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills. *PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office. *Analytical skills. *Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays Preferred Job Qualifications: *Bachelor Degree in Business.
