Neonatal - Pediatriac Transport Specialist
24 hours per week including weekends, part time benefit eligible position. 7PM-7AM
$15,000 sign on bonus - Relocation bonus
Requirements |
Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program. |
Must have successfully completed the Registered Respiratory Therapist & Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) administered by the NBRC. |
BLS required. |
Must have NRP, Stable, ACLS and PALS Certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire. |
New hires into this position have one year from date of hire to pass the Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) from the NBRC. |
Must be able to be able to be on call. |
Must be able to lift 30 pounds. |
Must maintain active air and ground transport capability. |
Summary:
Provides excellent, quality and consistent care to all critically ill infants and pediatric patient populations. Demonstrates and maintains competency in all therapeutic procedures. Can effectively serve as an adjunct clinical instructor for affiliate students and orientee's. Maintains a high level of expertise in the technology required to treat this population of patients and takes an active role in the growth and development of the respiratory care procedures in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care arenas. Serves as a leader for coworkers by providing education, sharing knowledge and serves as a resource at all times. Must serve as either a NRP instructor or charge roles as needed.
Education:
Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
License/Certification:
Must have successfully completed the Registered Respiratory Therapist and Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). New hires into this position have one year from date of hire to pass the Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) from the NBRC. Must have current certification in CPR. Must have NRP, Stable, ACLS and PALS Certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
Experience:
Prefer minimum of 1 year NICU and Pediatric ICU experience.
Other Qualification:
Other Qualifications Must be able to be able to be on call. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. New hires into this position must complete orientation within one year of date of hire into position. Must maintain active air and ground transport capability.
