Accounts Payable Specialist

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be an integral part of the accounting department, assisting with daily activities and any special projects that come your way.
You will be working on:
- Receiving, reviewing, properly coding and entering invoices in our system
- Reviewing reports and verifying all records for processing and payment accuracy
- Participating in weekly check runs, including matching invoices to checks and filing of all documents
- Managing, reconciling, and filing 1099 annual reporting and correspondences
- Reconciling petty cash reports
- Processing office deposits
- Running reports as needed for management
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills, being reliable and extremely trustworthy are a must. This position requires that you have good Excel skills and experience processing accounts payable. Other requirements are excellent organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. Experience using Sage Intacct is a plus, if you don’t have this experience, you must be able to quickly learn this and other accounting software systems.
Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years equivalent accounting experience required. (Associates degree in Accounting Preferred.)
