What will I be doing?
Supportfamilies who are involved with DFCS (Dept. of Family and Children Services) by providing:
- Supervision for displaced foster children
- Parent Aid Training
- Supervise visitation between approved parents and children
- Provide transportation services
- Provide drug screen collections
- Collaborate with case managers, other contractors, and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration
- Successful staff exude a passion for serving vulnerable individuals and families
- Must have the ability to use your professional skills and expertise to help individuals and families in need to reach their greatest potential
- A flexible schedule is important for this role, and allows you to have control over your session planning
- Ability to work independently and manage time well
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field Human Servicesdegreeswhich are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling does not qualify) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)
- Or
- Five years’ experience in the human-services field working with children K-12th grade
