Title: COVID-19 Screening/Testing Coordinator
Job Type: Temporary- Rockford, Monday through Sunday hours - Elgin, IL Monday through Saturday hours
Pay Range: $19 - $22per hour per diem for overnight field work.
Job Summary:
The trained screening Coordinator works as part of a team that completes Covid-19 symptom questionnaires, sample collection (swabbing) for COVID 19 testing. This individual works as part of a team and will rotate among tasks that include verifying test subject identity; explaining test procedures, collecting, labeling and securing samples; requesting supplies; and completing appropriate documentation and other administrative duties. This Coordinator will also communicate and interact effectively in a professional and helpful manner with staff and clients. This position requires occasional travel on very short notice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Present, collect and ensure completion of applicable questionnaire
- Review self-contained COVID-19 testing kit and corresponding employee/individual paperwork that includes intake questionnaire and labels
- Facilitate the self-administering of laboratory tests i.e. COVID-19 PCR/SWAB and etc.
- Validate technique, application of labels, placement of samples, shipping of samples
- Manage physical traffic of test subjects as well as proactively monitor on-line scheduling system for timing of scheduled appointments.
- Transport supplies and documents
- Disciplined in hygiene and disinfecting procedures
- Mandatory usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Experience in Healthcare Occupation a plus
- Prior experience preferred such as Nursing Assistant (CNA), Paramedic (EMT) Medic, 1st responder.
- Work flexible shifts (8 – 12 hour shifts) over consecutive days/weeks
- Standing for long periods of time
- Excellent computer user including wireless devices, laptops, tablets, printers
- Very proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Credentials
- Medical field: 2 YR (Preferred)
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- High School Diploma/GED as a minimum
