This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility regarding equipment and safety.

KEY POSITION SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participates in the day to day operations of the department.
· Ensures completion of repairs to the physical plant and all equipment not covered by outside service contracts in accordance with blueprints, operation manual and manufacturer’s specifications.
· Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment.
· Responsible for painting, salt, sanding and shoveling of the grounds.
· Installs, replaces, repairs and calibrates pneumatic control systems, thermostats, receiver-controller, modulation valves and damper motors.
· Use TELS maintenance program to determine what needs to be repaired.
· Able to mix chemicals according to the manufacturer recommendations and with the use of safety equipment.
· Check stock supplies as needed and see what items are available within budget.
· Respond to inquiries relating to particular area or to requests from members, visitors, other personnel within given periods.
· Attends all mandatory in-services annually.
· Repairs rooms, as required, to accommodate new admissions.
· Ensures the appearance of the facility if neat and clean.
· Follows safety guidelines and trainings to prevent work injuries.
· Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
· HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing experience
· OSHA & Life Safety experience
· Experience in a Long Term Care, Nursing Home or Hospital setting
· High School diploma or equivalent
· One to two (1-2) years’ experience in building maintenance.
· Valid driver’s license
· Flexible work schedule (mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) which may include beyond eight hours in a day, 40 hours in a week.
· Follows all attendance policies and procedures, including punctuality and proper timeclock or timesheet reporting.
· Compliance with infectious disease policies and procedures related to, but not limited to tuberculosis screening of health-care workers.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm*
*On call rotation once per month, can vary.
