What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Experience Coordinator position at Health Fitness Corporation?
HealthFitness has a customer focused opportunity for a Member Experience Coordinator at our Walmart - Walton Life Fitness Center client site in Bentonville, AR. In this role, you'll report to and support the Member Experience Director with directing the presentation and promotion of facilities, programs, and services to the eligible Walmart population, ultimately resulting in positive membership sales growth and the member experience. This role has various administrative and operational responsibilities and works as part of a small team to help members navigate through programs and service offerings. Full-time and requires frequent weekend work hours to interact with members & prospects.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports the Member Experience Director in the development of membership packages and associated fee structures.
- Supports the Member Experience Director, GM, and Walmart Liaisons regarding staff sales training on the prospective member engagement process.
- Helps drive membership growth through outreach and business development efforts including participation in networking/community events that create awareness and interest.
- Works with the Business Operations Director and other Whole Health Facility Directors towards the recruitment of Member Experience staff and work assignments.
- Collaborates on staff training and works in tandem with the Business Operations Director and Member Experience Director to lead regular staff meetings to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness and Walmart business events.
- Actively tracks & reports membership sales and related member experience performance indicators.
- Assists with the implementation of membership sales initiatives and campaigns. Supports the coordination of membership sales marketing and communications to maximize member growth and participates in special events (e.g., health fairs, 5K fun runs, community events, etc.) to promote the facility and Whole Health and Fitness program offerings.

Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- An affinity and passion for fitness, recreation, and wellness.
- 1 year of related hospitality, customer experience, sales, or administrative experience.
- CPR/AED certifications through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required by first day of work.
- Strategic thinker, strong attention to detail and experience in development outcomes reports.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills in-person, socially, on the telephone, and via email; including the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with other business units.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
- Ideal applicants will have 1 year of experience working in the field of fitness, recreation, and/or wellness.
