Position Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant assures the on-boarding of applicants is processed with customer service and compliance in mind. The HR assistant also that staff is in compliance with applicable agency regulations, including monitoring, tracking and data entry. The Human Resource clerical / admin position will be responsible for clerical functions for all areas related to the human resources department as well as other required systems. In the human resources clerical / admin role, a primary function of the position is answering phones and directing to appropriate company staff, assembling new hire employment files, tracking staff flu shot compliance, ordering supplies, filing, scheduling interviews for the hr recruiter and assisting with invoice payments. This position is responsible for tracking, analysis and generating assigned reports and monitoring systems. This position will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience working with applicant tracking systems is a must.
- High school graduate or equivalency. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Two (2) years office experience and previous Human Resources experience required
- Attention to detail is required including excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, documentation and communication skills.
- Must possess competent computer skills, with Windows-based experience required. Willing/able to be trained on software package used by Agency.
- Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact with other members of the team.
Working Environment / Physical and Personal Requirements:
- Able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must have ability to operate a computer and/or a tablet PC.
- Must be able to work independently setting own priorities based upon approved goals with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to complete all physical demands of the job, which may include, but not be limited to: the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, prolonged periods of sitting and intermittent physical activity such as occasional requirement to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, lift and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities including frequent writing and typing. Must be able to read normal typewritten print and have corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Has manual dexterity with normal range of motion of all extremities.
- May be requested to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
