Position available in Hyannis, MA. Assist applicants with WIC program certification by evaluating eligibility by verifying participant income qualification, identity, and residence. Provide participants with referrals to MassHealth, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Transitional Aid to Families of Dependent Children (TAFDC) programs and other health and human service programs in the community. Schedule participant appointments. Provide bilingual nutritional and breastfeeding counseling, including height and weight data collection for Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, finger stick blood collection to screen for lead poisoning, risk assessment, breastfeeding counseling, and food prescription to English- and Portuguese- speaking clients at multiple WIC sites. Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese required. Willingness to travel to Falmouth, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket as needed, required. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed, required.
