HMA is seeking a Data Analyst to join our rapidly growing Data Analytics Resources Team (DART). Our DART team is primarily structured as Hybrid or WFH and we do prefer that candidates are commutable to our Denver, CO office location for as needed meetings from time to time.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, responsibilities are focused on interpreting and analyzing large health care claims data sets and financial data from health care providers. The Data Analyst will operate in both a team situation and with minimal supervision in a variety of projects to organize and analyze data for patterns, trends and strategic insights in support of the firm’s consulting engagements. The Data Analyst will assist with all phases of quantitative research including programming, data management and the interpretation and presentation of results.

Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, computer science or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience equivalent will be considered. Master’s degree is ideal.

Working Conditions
Work is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and clients. Work may be stressful at times. May require travel at times (~5%).

Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

The posted salary range for this role at HMA includes a range of factors that we consider when making compensation decisions. These factors include but are not limited to experience, education, training, skills, licensures, and certifications, along with other business and organizational needs. HMA may adjust the posted salary range estimate for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location where we may fill the position. At HMA, we generally do not hire an individual at or near the top of the range for their role. All compensation decisions are dependent on the variables of each case. A reasonable estimate of the existing salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000.
